Ladybug amigurumi

So, I have a list of things/animals I want to make with crochet, and since the ladybug was pretty small, I decided to mark it off my list. I'm pretty pleased with the result. Since it's an easy pattern and small, I've decided to post the pattern here for anyone who wants to make their own ladybug.

   What you'll need:
E/3.5mm hook
For yarn, I used: Black from Red Heart, a red from Sugar'n Cream, and a white
For eyes, I used 12mm safety eyes
Black felt (for the spots)

       Tips:
1: After sewing things on nice and securely, don't take that string and cut it close to your work. Instead, stuff it inside your work, where it'll be hidden. This way your work won't come undone. This also applies to any string that's dangling from your work.
2: I always change color on the last stitch of the previous color. This makes color changes less noticeable.

   Body (with black)

1: Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
2: Inc around (12)
3: Sc 1, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 1 (16)
4: Sc 3, inc, sc 3, inc, sc 3, inc, sc 3, inc (20)
5: Sc 4, inc, sc 10, inc, sc 4 (22)
6: Sc around (22)
7: Sc 4, dec, sc 10, dec, sc 4 (20)
8: Dec, sc 3, dec, sc 3, dec, sc 3, dec, sc 3 (16)
9: Sc 1, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 1 (12)
10: Dec around (6) If there's a gap, just dec until you're satisfied. FO

   Wings (with red, make 2)

1: Ch 2, sc 3 in 2nd chain from hook, ch 1, turn
2: Inc 3x, ch 1, turn
3: [Sc 2, inc] 2x, ch 1, turn
4: [Dc 3, dc inc] 2x, ch 1, turn
5: [Dc 4, dc inc] 2x, ch 1, turn
6: Dc 5, inc, dc 4, dec. Leave long tail and FO

Sew the wings on the body like so. If you don't like the gap in the wings like how I made it, you could always just sew it up together.

   Head (with black)

1: Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
2: Inc, (white) inc, (black) inc 2x, (w) inc, (b) inc (12)
3: Sc around (12)
4: Dec around (6) (You want to turn it inside out, so the "wrong" side is facing you) FO, leave long tail. Put in the eyes next to the white spots. Then sew the head on the side opposite the gap in his wings.

For the spots, you're not really limited to size or number. I cut some small and some big, and I put four spots on each side of his wings. How many you put on is up to you.

Ladybugs don't only come in red. You could make any color ladybug you wish, so shake things up a little!

And of course I can't forget the tease for what's coming up next:
