Procrastinating...

They're so cute!
So I really wanted to have another pattern completed by now, and I kind of do have one done, but the initial image it was supposed to look like... Let's just say it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I'll have to work on it some more, but who knows when I'll get back to it. For now, I'm working on two other projects; one's a gift, and another is a little skunk. The former I may share pictures of after Christmas (who knows who's reading my blog!), the latter will be up almost as soon as it's finished.
Now October is usually the month I start thinking about the Holidays, and specifically, what gifts to make for the people on my list. As someone who practically makes all her gifts by hand (not including the material used) I have to think of these things early on so they'll be finished by the time Christmas rolls around.

I don't usually make things for a lot of people, either because of how I feel about them or because it's hard to tell what they'd like, without directly asking them. And I love to make things a surprise. Who doesn't like a good surprise? But this year I decided to widen the list, but only to what my wallet can afford. So while I'm working on these gifts, my blog may be a little empty over the next few months.

Also, I've been thinking that it would be a pretty awesome idea to translate some Japanese crochet patterns. Since I'm learning Japanese, it should be easier for me to understand. I have built a lighthouse papercraft with Japanese instructions after all. How hard could it be? So I'll try looking for a good one, try and ask permission to translate it, then, well, we'll see how it goes.

Furthermore, I got my first request: a Pokémon. I didn't grow up watching Pokémon or play the games so I'm not a big fan. But you have to admit, Pokémon are really cute and creative creatures. This request came as a surprise, though, since the person who requested it was my mom. I was planning on making a Pokémon sometime, but since she requested it, it has moved to my immediate to make list. I've already bought the colors, so as soon as my other projects are done, it'll be next. I won't tell you which Pokémon it is though; that'll be a surprise for when it is actually finished.

  Till next time ~
